How to romove saved password from mozilla firefox

 The older versions of Firefox web browser (3.0 and below) were not friendly as versions 3.5 and above, especially in terms of password reset. If you use public computer, say the Cyber Cafe’, there is need for you to delete or remove your saved password before you sign out or before your client time gets finished. This will help you to keep your email account and other valuable accounts you have online safe and secured from hackers.

I have once worked in a Cyber Café where so many people come to browse. Being the Café Admin, it was my duty to check through the systems to make sure they are up and running both before and after close of work. While I was there, I noticed that a handful of people who use the public internet care more or less about their passwords, and such are careless and care free to even leave their accounts open without logging out.

This to me is a clear opportunity for hackers to do their thing. On noticing this, I started a campaign while working there by teaching our clients the importance of security measures on passwords, and one of them is what I am writing in a post today. By virtue of its popularity and ease to download, firfox browsers are the most widely used in public internet outlets, and so I will be using screen-shots from it to show you how to remove or delete your saved passwords any time you make use of public internet.

Step 1: Launch the Mozilla Firefox either from the desktop, start menu or taskbar

Step 2: Click on “Tools” in Tool menu as shown below

Step 3: Click on “Option” for firefox option window to display. It will look like the one below

Step 4: Click on “Security” tab as circled below

Step 5: Click on “Saved Passwords” button

If you are using a public network, a list of sites visited by clients who logged in before you with their passwords will be displayed once you clicked it.

All you need do now is select [click on the passwords(s) to highlight] the saved passwords in Firefox from the saved passwords list and click on Remove. If you wish to remove all saved passwords in the list just click on the Remove All button.

Click on Close button to close this window and you are done.

Acid bath victim, Chika Egbo dies

Chike Egbo, the 25-year-old student of  Enugu State College of Education, who was bathed with acid by her estranged fiancé, David Suleiman, in November, has been reported dead.

Chika gave up the ghost early Thursday morning, on her hospital bed, at the Burns Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.



Her father, Matthew Egbo, who confirmed the incident told Vanguard that his daughter fell into comma around 11: pm Wednesday night and was placed on a life-support machine before she gave up the ghost around 1:00 am, Thursday morning.

Suleiman was alleged to have attacked Chika and an Okada rider, identified as Sunny Daniel with a can of acid at Bakare Street, Ikotun, Lagos, on November 5, 2012, following Chika’s refusal to allow him access to their only child.

Suleiman, who was subsequently arrested by the police in Ikotun Police Station and was transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, in Yaba, was later charged to an Ebute-Meta Magistrate court where he was  arraigned on a two counts charge of attempted murder and “causing grievous bodily harm.

Magistrate O. Olatunji who presided over the case granted him bail of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum. The Magistrate in his ruling stated that the sureties must be blood relations and must present evidence of tax clearance.

Looking at these photos, don't you want to weep for Nigeria? Police van with policemen with guns carrying and protecting a few bags of rice. The LIB reader who took the photos and sent it in said the police van was blaring their siren for other motorists to clear out of the way and grant them easy access. Except its not rice they are carrying. Na wa!

HOW TO CONFIGURE MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 2010 FOR GMAIL

Gmail is one of the email services which supports IMAP feature which enables to send and receive emails from Outlook without any ads. Besides one use Outlook for all the business mails and now you can also add your personal gmail account along with it. The advantage of having setup this using IMAP is that when you read a mail or delete a mail, it is synchronized with both the web version of Gmail and the Outlook.
There are lots of features which are different in the new Outlook from Office 2010 than Outlook 2007 which makes it even more desirable to use Outlook for your Gmail.
Having said that, now lets see How to Setup Gmail IMAP in Outlook 2010?
Before you can start using Gmail IMAP in Outlook, we need to enable IMAP in Gmail settings.
In Gmail, go to Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP –> Make sure Enable IMAP is checked and click on Save Changes if you made any.
If you are starting the Microsoft outlook 2010 for the first time, you will be seeing the following startup screen, just click Next and choose Yes in the next screen where they ask would you like to configure an email account?

Note: This process can not work with the free yahoo mail...you need to subscribe to yahoo mail plus to have access.

Sandy Hook Massacre: Names of all 26 victims + some faces

Reports have emerged that Adam Lanza (pictured left), had visited Sandy Hook Elementary the day before Friday's massacre during which he was involved in an altercation with four members of staff - three of whom are now dead. The fourth teacher wasn't at school yesterday and is currently being interviewed by investigators. Adam forced his way into the school where he murdered 26 people including; (clockwise) Principal Dawn Hochsprung, teachers Victoria Soto and Lauren Rousseau and school psychologist Mary Sherlach, before turning the gun on himself.

Adam also killed 12 girls, 8 boys - all first graders - all aged 6 and 7 years old. See the full list of victims and first photos of the tragic children after the cut...

Obama Talks On Marijuana Legalization, Says Substance Abuse Is Not Good For Kids Nor Society

In President Obama’s first public statement on marijuana legalization, he says the administration has “bigger fish to fry.”
In an interview with Barbra Walter for ABC News that is set to air Friday (Dec. 14), the President discusses the recent legalization of marijuana in the states of Washington and Colorado on the November election ballot. In an effort to legally sell and tax the drug, both states are building tension between opposing federal drug control laws.
While the Department of Justice does not reserve the power to prosecute small narcotics cases, it is planning to file a lawsuit against the two states in an effort to define parameters. But the President does not put this issue atop his list of priorities.
“It would not make sense for us to see a top priority as going after recreational users in states that have determined that it’s legal,” he said.
While the issue is not immediate for Obama, he did state his recognition and what needs to be done.
“I head up the executive branch; we’re supposed to be carrying out laws,” Obama said. “And so what we’re going to need to have is a conversation about, ‘How do you reconcile a federal law that still says marijuana is a federal offense and state laws that say that it’s legal?’”
The President also briefly discussed his past drug use, which he chronicles in his autobiography Dreams From My Father.
“There are a bunch of things I did that I regret when I was a kid,” he said to Walters. “My attitude is, substance abuse generally is not good for our kids, not good for our society.”

AGN President Condemns Nkiru Sylvanus’ Kidnap, Calls For Prayers

The Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN), the umbrella body for Nigerian movie actors and actresses, has confirmed the abduction of Nkiru Sylvanus. the fair-skinned actress was reportedly kidnapped in Owerri, Imo State along with her personal assistant Sunday morning.

While confirming the story, the  AGN president, Ibinabo Fiberisima said: “We are trying to liaise with her state government to find a solution to it. It’s unfortunate that people can do things like this to people who make them happy”, she lamented.
Ibinabo has also urged Nigerians to pray for the fair-skinned actress. “Please Nigerians pray for her!”
Sylvanus, who is the Special Assistant on public affairs to the Imo state governor, was last seen on the set of a movie Saturday night in Owerri. She was reportedly kidnapped from her home and her abductors have demanded an unconfirmed sum of N100 million as ransom.

How to change display name of your Facebook Account?

Do you want to change existing display name of your Facebook account? Many users tend to goofup with name field and want to change display name of their Facebook account. Thankfully, Facebook does have option to change the display name. 

Step 1: Go to Facebook Account & log-in your account.

Step 2: Then click the little upside triangle arrow at the top right.

Step 3: Click Account Settings.

Step 4: Select first option on the top where you see your name (make sure on the left side you are under the General Settings tab which should be pulled up on default).

Step 5: Then click ‘Edit’ button next to your displayed name at the top. Then click to type and update your First name, Middle name and Last name for display on the Facebook profile.
You can also update and add ‘Alternative name’ to your Facebook profile. Like you can display nickname or maiden name for easier discovery by friend who know you by nickname instead of full name. Enter the name you desired, password and save changes...wait till 24hrs(approval time)...

 

Step 6: Once you make changes to your Name details, Click Save Changes button to submit new information.

 Note: After 24hrs you can follow the process above...but this time we are not changing anything...the name you changed would appear at full names option, click the name, enter your password...and you are good to go...have fun connecting with friends...*winks

Why did Jacintha Saldanha commit suicide over a prank?

Jacintha Saldanha (pictured above left) is the 46 year old nurse who killed herself after being duped by a hoaxer pretending to be the Queen. Three days before her death, Mrs Saldanha was manning the hospital switchboard where Kate Middleton was taken to for acute morning sickness when she took a call from two Australian radio presenters – Mel Greig and Michael Christian – (pictured above right) impersonating the Queen and Prince Charles. They were transferred to the Duchess’s ward and broadcast confidential information given to them by a second nurse. Although she wasn’t blamed in any way for what happened, friends said Mrs Saldanha ‘took it very badly’ when prank was broadcast.

She was found dead on Friday morning in the nurses’ accommodation at the hospital. May her soul rest in peace.
